Market Harborough Carnival Volunteering

Last Saturday’s Market Harborough Carnival was a vibrant testament to community spirit and the importance of health and wellbeing.
Organised by the dedicated Darren Iliffe and supported by the enthusiastic team from Gateley RJA, the event was a resounding success.

With activities ranging from a 10k run to a U16 football tournament and a parade, the carnival brought together 7,000 community members in a celebration of fitness, fun, and local talent. The Symington Showground was alive with stage acts, fairground attractions, and a silent disco, while local businesses and food stalls added to the festive atmosphere.

Shoutout to Richard Julian, Lydia Lowen, Hardeep Kooner, Rachel Wright, Ubong Ukpong and Ben Kirwan for their roles in making the day run smoothly. Their efforts as ticket marshals, bar staff, litter pickers, and bin replenishers did not go unnoticed.

Well done to everyone involved for showcasing the power of community.
